Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CTO, as a software development manager, you will be responsible for architecting and developing the different company’s sites using JAVA / J2EE technologies.
You are a real self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills and are used to working within a team of developers that includes both internal staff and external contractors. You are able to communicate your technical design thinking to the rest of the team. You have designed and coded functional features and platform improvements on specific projects or sprints.
Job Description:
– Take the responsibility for developing the application architecture
– Integrate and maintain JAVA / J2EE website and the front-end (HTML)
– Clear and consistent SW coding; code should be well documented with minimal bugs
– Develop new functionalities and enhance existing ones as part of continuous integration cycles
– Familiarity with Agile project working is suited e.g. SCRUM / XP
– Provide supporting estimates with respect to time, effort and scheduling of work
– Translate third party technical and business requirements into working technical designs
– Lead and contribute to team’s discussions to identify design solutions
– Stay abreast of innovative emerging techniques in application development
– Good working knowledge of version and source control systems e.g. Subversion or JIRA
– Contribute to short term maintenance jobs and dealing with change requests from the creative and product teams
Required Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience on delivering highly scalable, high performing and secure consumer eCommerce web sites
